Adolescence has been the talk of the town the past week or so for good reason. A British crime drama miniseries, ‘Adolescence’ is a four part series based around a 13 year old boy who is, at his parents shock, arrested for the murder of a female classmate.

Created for Netflix by Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham and directed by Philip Barantini, with each of the four episodes shot in one continuous take, just one of the reasons for its critical acclaim including top tier performances from a cast firing on all cylinders.

‘Based on a True Story’

He’s the slickest there is, he’s the quickest there is…did we mentioned he’s the slickest there is? The first ever Grammy award winning Hip-Hop artist, Will Smith (then, The Fresh Prince) is making his return to Hip-Hop after 20 years. The Hollywood superstar has announced the release of his next album, ‘Based On A True Story’, dropping March 28th.

The album includes features from; DJ Jazzy Jeff, Teyana Taylor, Big Sean, Russ & more and will be his first album since ‘Lost and Found’ in 2005 which included hits like ‘Switch’ and ‘Loretta’.

☘️ New Ownership is Boston?! ☘️ 

The NBA world woke up to a shock on March 20th(still nothing like February 2nd) when the news was spread that the Boston Celtics ownership group had agreed to sell the franchise to Bill Chisholm, managing director and co-founder of Symphony Technology Group, for $6.1B a shocking amount as history was just made in 2023 when Mat Ishbia purchased the Phoenix Suns for $4B, then the most an NBA team was ever sold for.

Bill Chisholm has been described as “a rabid Celtics fan” and someone who “bleeds green”. Chisholm has expressed that his fandom began when he attended a game at the Boston Garden at seven years old.

The Determined Coyote Has Been Set Free.. Almost

Just over a full year after reportedly declining offers of upward of $80M, Warner Bros Discovery is (again) reportedly selling off their previously cancelled, test screened hit ‘Coyote Vs Acme’ to Ketchup Entertainment who is negotiating an all-rights acquisition for around $50M.

Ketchup Entertainment ironically acquired the recently released ‘The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie’ from the same studio just last year, currently standing at a box office of $8.7M Worldwide since its March 14th release.

It’s rumored WBD could be looking to completely sell off their beloved Looney Tunes IP, could these be preliminary moves towards a larger?

The deal is not yet final, though if all goes through smooth the film is expected to get a 2026 theatrical release.

‘The W’, Next Big Sports Series Hit?

Former first overall pick and WNBA All-Star, Chiney Ogwumike and GLOW creators Carly Mensch & Liz Flahive are headed to Peacock!

The series is planned to be a half hour scripted comedy project set in the world of professional women’s basketball. Loosely based on Ogwumike and her longtime business partner and agent, Allison Galer, who became Ogwumike’s rep at just 24 after Ogwumike was drafted first overall.

‘The W’ also marks the first project for Ogwumike’s production company Victorious.

🍪 Prime Video’s ‘REACHER’ Season 3 saw a total of 54.6M global view in its first 19 days of realease marking the te most watched returning season of television ever on Prime Video. As of late, REACHER star, Alan Ritchson has been strongly campaigning for the role of the Dark Knight in James Gunn’s DCU, maybe this helps his case?

🎶 Cordae at his recent Tiny Desk performance brought out his mom, an aspiring singer from the mid 2000s, to sing on ‘06 Dreamin’ in which he samples a track she made in 2006.
